Born in Tokyo, raised in Kanagawa Prefecture, Hiroshi first graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from college in Hokkaido Asahikawa , then with a Master of Engineering (Architecture) back in Kanagawa.
After a few years doing design and construction in Yokohama as an independent, Hiroshi decided to expand his professional horizon and moved to Shanghai.
After a short study of the Chinese (Mandarin) language, he established an interior design and construction company with a partner that specialized in F&B (Food & Beverage) venues for Western patrons as well as retail spaces for Japanese companies. He ended up working for 13 years throughout China (Coincidently, Hiroshi and Franck were at some point both living in Shanghai).
Hiroshi speaks and writes English and Chinese, which helped him deal with Chinese vendors (builders, furniture manufacturers, etc…) and Western or Japanese clients.
After coming back from China, he moved to Hokkaido and worked as a project manager at Hokkaido Tracks Development. He managed countless villas and successfully collaborated with Franck Giral on 2 main development projects (Koa Niseko and Koa House in Furano).
Hiroshi joined ABD Architecture LLC with the goal of bringing the Japanese sensitivity, using his knowledge of the construction sites, applying his people skills and assisting in developing the business’s presence.
