Meet Pierre Biard, a talented architect and graphic designer with a passion for music and Afro-Caribbean records.
Pierre is a certified architect in France, qualified to design and submit building permits, and has gained experience working on a range of housing, commercial, and public projects in France and Vietnam.
After graduating with a Master of Architecture from the Higher National School of Architecture (ENSAN) of Normandy, Rouen, France, Pierre began his career at Ulysses Design, an architecture firm in France, working on housing, commercial, and public projects.
Seeking to broaden his horizons and challenge himself, Pierre moved to Hanoi, Vietnam, in 2012, where he worked on luxury high-end projects such as hotels for Alba Hotels and Resort and a fashion designer’s flagship shop for Thuy Design House.
In 2015, Pierre took a break from architecture to open a bar-restaurant in Danang, Vietnam, where he gained valuable insights into the food and beverage industry.
However, Pierre’s passion for architecture could not be suppressed for long, and in 2016, he joined Huni Architectes, where he worked on award-winning international projects (resorts, hotels, condominiums, and commercial facilities), where he could express his creativity on design prototyping and design trends. He also participated in the design of several international competitions for the urban planning of Danang city, including its city center and riverfront. Among his personal realizations, he designed the rum factory for the Distillerie d’Indochine, house of the Sampan Rhum in Hoi An.
In 2018, he joined the Canadian NGO Socodevi as a construction manager and architect, where he worked with local farmers to develop their processing facility and showroom buildings, as well as their graphic identity (brand identity, logos, product labels…).
In 2022, Pierre decided to move to Hokkaido, Japan, with his family, where he joined ABD Architecture LLC as an architect and graphic designer.
With his unique experience in both architecture and graphic design, Pierre brings a high level of sensitivity and a profound commitment to art in his designs.
In his free time, Pierre can be found indulging in his love for music and records, as well as taking part in events as a promoter and selector.
Pierre speaks fluently in the languages of architecture and graphic design, as well as French and English.
